Taken in 1956 on our front verandah at Long Flat, South Australia, this is my birth family (Source: Diana Mann).

Mum and Dad are in their element, nursing their first two grandchildren, whose mothers, my oldest sisters, are hovering on either side.

Looks like it may have been a bit windy that sunny afternoon.

For the record, I am the cute one in the middle on the lowest step.

66 years later, I had another photo taken on that lowest step.

Same person on the same step.

There is a lifetime of experience between those two photos.
